The letter becomes a ghost of the encounter we long to achieve; an unrealized project that haunts the space between bodies.

MAXINE FLASHER-DÜZGÜNEŞ
CO-DIRECTOR
Maxine Flasher-Düzgüneş is a hybrid artist & poet from Northern California currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She was recently awarded the Alternate position for the US-UK Fulbright Award in Dance. She is a writer for Dance Art Journal (UK). Her dance films have been screened worldwide at kNOwBOX Dance Film Festival (USA/South Korea), SzólóDuó International Dance Festival (Hungary), and Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema (USA). She graduated Magna Cum Laude from NYU Tisch with a B.F.A. in Dance, and earned an M.A. in Dance Philosophy & History at the University of Roehampton London. Awards: First Place in Choreography | Dance Prix de New York (2019), and Rubin Prize for Poetry (2020).
HAMILTON GUILLÉN
ART DIRECTOR
Hamilton Guillén is a multidisciplinary art director from California working on urban art projects and site-specific performances. Whether designing for stage or film, he believes cross-pollination between disciplines is vital for bold, imagistic designs. His creative process integrates a holistic approach synthesizing visual research, dramaturgy, politics, and pop culture. Hamilton’s film work was presented internationally at World Stage Design 2022 in Calgary, Canada as part of the ‘Scenofest’ program. scene r-eco-ver is a feature-length multimedia choreographic film interpreting the climate catastrophes of Northern California resulting from linear, human processes that override cyclical, natural processes. He studied performance design at the University of Leeds (UK) and theater studies at UC Berkeley.

PAULA RIOFRÍO
CO-DIRECTOR
Paula Riofrío is an Ecuadorian-born interdisciplinary artist, writer, and translator whose practice dissolves boundaries between sound, movement, and language. Drawing from somatic exploration and experimental methodologies, she creates performances, films, and compositions that interrogate the body's relationship to space, memory, and cultural displacement. Trained in Dance Philosophy (MA, University of Roehampton) and Sound Arts (Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso), Paula has presented work at Café OTO, The Vortex, and Siobhan Davies Studios, collaborating with artists including Rhodri Davies and Annie Pui Ling Lok. Her writing appears in Dance Arts Journal and Dance Context, while her translations span award-winning documentary films and literary publications through Poetry Translation Centre.
